The Louisiana Department
of Transportation and Development (DOTD), in cooperation with the
Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is conducting an
environmental and location study to construct a section of the
proposed Interstate Highway 69 (I–69) in Bossier, Caddo, and
DeSoto Parishes, Louisiana. This project will provide a divided,
four-lane, limited access highway on new location between US Highway
171 (US 171) near the Town of Stonewall in DeSoto Parish, and
Interstate Highway 20 (I–20) near the Town of Haughton in Bossier
Parish, a distance of approximately 35 miles.
The proposed highway is
part of the I-69
Corridor, which will link
Indianapolis, Indiana to the lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas. This
study will provide the detailed and comprehensive environmental and
engineering information necessary to develop specific highway
alternatives.
Public involvement is an
important part of the transportation decision-making process. This
web site is one part of DOTD’s ongoing efforts to inform the
public of project developments and to solicit public comment. You
can view meeting notices,
read announcements,
or contact
the Study Team.
Your participation is
encouraged and appreciated.
